Clerkenwell Design Week

Last night 18 Degrees hosted a tour around some of the installations for the 2017 Clerkenwell Design Week.

We met in St John’s Square on a glorious afternoon bathed in sunshine, sunnies on and map in hand. What ensued was a whistlestop tour of The Bolt, Double Vision, The Beacon, The Playbox, Next Generation Design Pavilion. Then we took a well-earned refreshment served from a very CDW-esque Airstream caravan before repairing to the main attraction: Designing Performance at SODA Studio.

At SODA we heard some inspiring speakers talk about performance in its many forms from the perspective of lighting, theatre, digital installations, design and architecture. Our very own Christopher Knowlton captivated the audience with 20 of the most evocative slides and a narrative to match. There was nary a dry eye in the house.
