18 Degrees is an architectural lighting design studio dedicated to making a difference through light.

From our studio at The Gantry, Here East in London, we design lighting that enhances the human experience of the built environment. We believe great lighting should not only look beautiful but work brilliantly — for people, places, and the planet.

Our work spans the workplace, hospitality, retail, and residential sectors, covering both interior and exterior environments. We collaborate with leading architects, designers, and developers to deliver lighting schemes that elevate architecture and enrich everyday life.

We are a multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in design, architecture, engineering, and the arts. United by a fascination with light and its transformative power, we bring curiosity, creativity, and care to every project.

We are also the studio behind 18 Circular — our initiative to radically reduce lighting waste in commercial developments. By reusing, refurbishing, and redeploying high-quality luminaires, we’re applying circular economy principles to real-world projects. The result: beautiful, low-impact lighting schemes that help clients meet both aesthetic and sustainability goals.
